GENDER AND SOCIAL UNDERSTANDING

As a Dalit women-led organization, we actively organize sessions and meetings with Panchayats, Mahila Mandals, and concerned government departments on issues of gender, patriarchy, and legal awareness. We also conduct regular capacity-building sessions within our team to strengthen their understanding and skills.

Each year, we organize training workshops for our team members and proactive community participants on the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. In addition, we regularly visit villages to conduct awareness programs on gender and patriarchy, ensuring that these conversations reach the grassroots level.

We also invite experienced professionals to facilitate sessions on gender-related issues, bringing diverse perspectives and deeper insights to our work. Recognizing that mental health is still an emerging and issue in our context, we have started internal discussion spaces within our team to better understand and address it.

Alongside this, we conduct regular reading sessions to continuously build our knowledge, strengthen our approach, and enhance our collective capacity.
