Parvatiya Mahila Vikas Trust is a dynamic and dedicated non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Himachal Pradesh. With a strong commitment to gender justice, women’s empowerment, and community development, our organization has been actively working towards creating positive change for over 15 years.

Our mission revolves around eliminating violence against girls and women, promoting health rights, and facilitating access to higher education and livelihood opportunities. Through our various initiatives, including Village Level Meetings, workshops, and training programs, we aim to empower women, enhance their skills, and foster a sense of community engagement.

At the heart of our efforts are our Village Level Meetings, which serve as platforms for open dialogue, awareness-building, and collaboration. We recognize the importance of uniting diverse groups and advocating for change at the grassroots level. Our dedicated women workers play a pivotal role in organizing these meetings and addressing a range of issues, from violence prevention to access to essential services.

Our Mission

Women’s Safety Alliance aims to provide an escape route for women facing domestic violence and harassment, promoting gender justice and women’s rights. We challenge the societal norms and collaborate with communities to counteract abuse and discrimination.

Our Team

Nanaki Bhardwaj

For the last 25 years, working on women's issues, she always works strongly in providing justice to the victimized women in every way while struggling with various circumstances. Apart from getting experience of working in many institutions of Himachal, she has also worked with women in Punjab. Has knowledge and experience of laws related to women and children. Being the founder member (secretary cum cashier) of Parvatiya Mahila Vikas Trust, she is currently working as a program director in a project. Committed to working with women victims and mediating with their families to create a society free of violence and discrimination of all kinds.

Seema Awasthi

Experience - About 15 years Jagori has experience of working on women's issues in the organization. Helped the aggrieved women to get justice. By associating with Seema Ji Parvatiya Mahila Vikas Trust, counseling women suffering from domestic violence, mediating in the matter, giving information about their rights to women and helping them to become self-reliant in every way is committed. In the cases of women suffering from domestic violence who have come under the trust, their main task is to listen to the victim and the other party impartially and reach a conclusion, understanding the seriousness of the matter and giving direction to both the parties towards justice. Seema ji has contributed in providing justice to many women.

Seema Devi

Seema Devi

Seema Devi has experience of working in different organizations for the education of women and girls for the last 10 years. Working as a social worker in Parvatiya Mahila Vikas Trust since 2022. Her main objective of joining the trust is to make more and more people aware about women and child rights and education in the society. By organizing the victims through the trust, they are struggling to make them economically and socially strong and self-reliant. In future also, together with the trust, we are committed to continue this struggle and to give women and children the right to live a respectable life in the society and to educate them.

Sakina Devi

Sakina Devi has been associated with Parvatiya Mahila Vikas Trust since the last few years. Sakina Devi is an active woman in her Gram Panchayat. She has been a candidate for the post of deputy head in the last panchayat elections. Their main objective has been to strengthen the groups of women in the village in the direction of livelihood. By associating with Parvatiya Mahila Vikas Trust, she has ensured her participation in many training programs and sharing her experiences with other women of village and panchayat, working in district Kangra Baijnath. Always stands with the women suffering in the village. Sakina ji has been successful in helping many aggrieved women reach the trust.

Mamta Devi

Mamta Devi has been associated with Parvatiya Mahila Vikas Trust for a long time and is making people aware about domestic violence and other issues related to women. Through the trust, along with the women of her area, she plays a major role in mobilizing Mahila Mandals and self-help groups. Mamta ji helps a lot in bringing the women suffering from domestic violence to the trust.

Sarla Devi

Sarla Devi has been a former ward member of her Gram Panchayat. The experience of working with women has been there for a long time but it has also been their aim to raise voice against domestic violence against women. For the last 2 years with the Trust, she has been making women aware to be financially independent. Takes interest in vocational training organized by the trust and encourages other women too!

Lata Devi

Lata Devi has been working closely with Parvatiya Mahila Vikas Trust since last 2 years. Self-help groups and Mahila Mandals have been activated along with the women of our Gram Panchayat Ashapuri as well as other three panchayats of Jaisinghpur Tehsil. Through the Lata Devi Trust, she has also been successful to a great extent in making all the people of her area aware about the different types of violence against women and women's rights.

Madhu Devi

Madhu Devi has been associated with Parvatiya Mahila Adhikar Manch for the last one year. Through Madhu Devi Trust, she is working on issues related to domestic violence with the women of her Gram Panchayat Chogan. Takes interest in vocational training organized by the trust and encourages other women too!
